HISTORY
Waffenfabrik Mauser A-G Oberndorf A/N 1909 Gew. 98 7.92mm (8x57) Bolt Action Rifle (.323”)
WW1 War Trophy, left in a loft until discovered by the soldier’s widow in 1986, when purchased from John Wilkes Gun and Rifle Makers.
Rifle is rare, in that it has all matching numbers 36xx, even on screw heads.
It is in good condition and has shrapnel/bullet damage to bayonet stud and forestock.
Has original cleaning rod (1/3 section, required you to buddy up with two others to make a full-length rod).
